Victoria Police uses Victoria Police Entrance Exam for the recruitment of Protective Services Officers (PSOs) and general Duty Police officers. Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) administers the above exam on behalf of Victoria Police.

The Victoria Police Entrance Examination Structure :
If your application is successful, you will need to sit an entrance exam.
You must pass all components of the exam before you can progress to the next phase of the selection process.
The exam includes four assessments:
report writing.
numeracy skills
abstract reasoning
literacy skills
Online testing involves sitting the assessment under live supervision using your own computer in a suitable location that has internet connectivity and all candidates must achieve a score at or above the pass marks for each component listed in the table to progress to the next stage of the Victoria Police recruitment process.
In person testing is provided monthly at the ACER Camberwell venue in Melbourne during a set weekend. Dates are provided within the ACER portal during registration.
